This body of work is meant to overtly abandon the construct of age attached to sensuality. A woman’s beauty, let alone her sexual autonomy is often seen as something that is measured and fleeting. There is an unspoken age that every women dreads approaching where she is considered undesirable or ‘too old’ to be attached to any sort of seductive or titillating connotation.
The lovely muse, timid at first but willing nonetheless, bares skin and disposition that would otherwise be showcased on a younger model. As seen throughout, there isn’t the slightest remission of magnetism and allure coming from the subject herself, proving that wrong is only a word.
After a few enthusiastic words and The Cure roaring through the speakers, the muse broke through and her effervescence emulated through the images. A styling focus on ease and timelessness to allow for the model to move freely in the garments. Even barefoot, as so to leave the opportunity for prancing, dancing, tip toeing, and any other youthful mode of movement around the set. There is a clear fragmentation of her body, displaying the ravishing complexity of her skin, from clavicle to calf. The subject maintains power through the image either by dominant pose or through controlling the gaze of the viewer through the lens.
